DescriptionA client of Robert Half Finance and Accounting has a new full-time role available for talented and eager Bookkeepers. Apply today! The Bookkeeper will be responsible for the purchase order costing of material, freight and other related charges. He or she will also be responsible for the execution, review and approval of purchase order costing, accounts receivable payment processing, bank and cashbook reconciliation as well as other duties as assigned. In addition, he or she will need to use discretion to evaluate profitability based on company norm for all billing items.Responsibilities:AP - Material Invoices:

Review foreign purchase orders by line item for material, freight and other related costs relevant to specific purchase orders.

Ensure the cost of supplier invoices match company purchase orders for all foreign purchase orders.

Work with other internal departments to address mismatched invoices.

Approve costing for all foreign purchase orders.

AR - Material Billing:

Daily review and approving of billing to ensure margins are in line with company predetermined minimum margins.

Ensure any outward freight costs are in line with company margins

Work with other internal departments to resolve any questionable billing margins.

Review bank report and process all cash receipts to customers who have paid their invoices.

Banking:

Review daily bank account to update the cashbook and perform bank reconciliations to ensure our general ledger balances to the daily bank in and outflow.

Additional Responsibilities:

Back-up for AP Specialists to process bills from vendors for overhead and material supplies and perform a weekly ACH, Wire or check run.

Other ad hoc tasks that may be assigned by the finance department manager.
