DescriptionWork as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals through this opportunity offered by Accountemps. In this position, you will be required to manage all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. You will work closely and report to the Accounting Manager. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in Norwalk, Connecticut, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time position.Responsibilities
Carry out a full-cycle A/P
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Execute additional tasks as needed
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Requirements
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Ledger Account Analysis experience
Strong familiarity with account analysis
Adeptness in Account Adjustments
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Command of NetSuite
Account analysis experience
