Seeking a Part-time Assistant at Studio 80 + Sculpture Grounds (Old Lyme, CT)
Studio 80 + Sculpture Grounds is a vibrant community environment dedicated to arts education and appreciation on the Connecticut shoreline. Our mission is to create a bond between art, nature & people by inspiring and promoting participation in the arts.
We are seeking a part-time assistant to the Director of Operations & Exhibitions at Studio 80 + Sculpture Grounds, roughly 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri).
Candidate must be a quick learner, independent worker, detail-oriented, organized with an outgoing personality and MUST have experience/interest in the art industry. The preferred candidate must be capable of representing our brand in a personable and professional manner. Candidate must be knowledgeable of all Apple/MAC devices and preferred experience with Creative Cloud, Word, Excel, Google docs, Mail Chimp, Facebook, Instagram, as well as WIX and Squarespace website content building and comprehension. Arts background, sales/marketing familiarity, and graphics knowledge helpful.
Job Description (including but not limited to):
Assist in maintaining multiple websites and social media presence
Update and maintain a cloud-based inventory management system
Research exhibitions and calls for entry
Research and create a network for possible sales/exhibitions/leasing of artwork
Assist with event planning/exhibitions/advertising
Filing
Possible travel planning
Office-related tasks
Personal assistance to Sculptor
