Faruqee/Driscoll Studio near New Haven, CT seeks full time painting studio, woodshop, and office assistant. Job includes: light building construction and repairs, constructing/preparing canvases, mixing colors, sanding, working with digital drawing (Photoshop), ordering supplies, general studio upkeep, packing, record keeping, website updating, and possibly bookkeeping. Seeking someone who is detail-oriented, self-directed, trustworthy and organized. For the right individual, the position could evolve into a studio manager position, pay commensurate with expanded responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications: Color mixing, canvas prep and Photoshop, familiarity with power and hand tools and materials. Additional qualifications: Sketchup and quantitative math skills.
Looking for someone who lives in or near New Haven or Woodbridge, CT, non-full-time student who can work throughout the academic year.
