Supports the planning and organization of the Gas Construction and Maintenance field workload through accurate coordination and scheduling, with others.
Ensures safe work practices are being employed in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Handbook and work activities are performed in accordance with Gas Distribution construction standards and operating procedures.
Monitors contractors and in-house crews engaged in the field operations, of Eversource gas distribution system.
Communicates with customers and community officials concerning all aspects of the gas construction work.
Ensures the safety of personnel by taking direct preventive measures, participating in daily job briefs of crews, and ensuring all related standards, safety rules and laws are understood and followed.
Completes documented safety and compliance audits of crews on a daily basis.
Verifies that work is performed in accordance with appropriate Company standards and work methods, including monitoring for a high quality of workmanship and productivity.
Verifies that the work is being performed by qualified personnel.
Responsible for ensuring complete, accurate and timely work packages, either electronic or paper form, for work crews including required permits, CBYD authorization, drawings and other related instructions.
Monitors current and future workload to ensure district plans and schedules maximize productivity, control costs and meet or exceeds service level agreements.
Ensures compliance with regulatory and Company work rules and procedures.
Works with Supervisor to determine and address corrective actions when required.
Reviews and approves billing for accuracy and completeness, in accordance with contract language.
Participates in project update, planning, and staff meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
