Looking for someone with an eye for design to help create and care for beautiful living flower arrangements. Production begins in the first week of June and runs through the end of June. Route service (watering, fertilizing, trimming passed blooms, applying deer-repellant) runs mid-June through early-October

Pay: $17/hr.-$25/hr., depending on experience
Job Purpose: To prepare, plant and maintain annual flower pots & boxes at residential and commercial properties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a small team; receive & unload flower deliveries. Keep stock greenhouse organized, watered & dead-headed. Prepare flower pots & boxes for planting with compacted filler and soils. Plant pots & boxes per design guidelines. Deliver or assist with deliveries of pots & boxes to properties. Water, dead-head, trim & fertilize pots & boxes for the duration of the annual flower season. Assist with clean-out of passed flowers following hard frost (usually Oct 1). Clean, re-label and re-stain or re-paint pots & boxes as needed. Store pots & boxes for winter. Assist with "recipe" adjustments and development of flower order for following season.
Compliance with health & safety practices is expected, as well as an attitude of professionalism.
Qualifications & Training:
- Previous experience with gardening not necessary, but valued.
- Driver's license required. Must be insurable based on driving record.
Competence Summary:
- Understanding of health & safety responsiblilites.
- Willingness to gain basic plant knowledge. Must learn plant species.
- Comfortable interacting with homeowners.
- Ability to complete all tasks to an agreed standard/quality.
Work-Related Personal Requirements:
- Physically able to carry-out the role. Able to carry 40 lbs. and manage steep/varied terrain. Able to stand/squat/kneel for 10-hour shift.
