Apex Security currently has an opening for a full-time Security Patrol Officer. Apex Security is a rapidly growing family-owned company that emphasizes small business values with large growth goals. We are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and the latest in award winning security technology for Glenwood Springs and our surrounding communities. We are looking for a dynamic and professional security patrol officer who enjoys working with our clients and team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To patrol and protect buildings, homes, and grounds assigned.
To enforce the assigned rules and regulations related to security at each location.
To report unusual incidents or events verbally and in written reports.
Maintain a positive customer-oriented approach with our clients.
Make assigned and timed tours to designated sites and neighborhoods.
Inspection of security and fire systems when appropriate.
Patrol in vehicle and on foot to inspect designated properties:
Check for unauthorized persons, unlocked doors, and security violations.
Also check for hazards, unsafe conditions, and mechanical problems.
Protect evidence and property during accidents, emergencies, and security investigations.
Respond to fire, medical, and security issues.
Also respond to incidental property emergencies such as flooding.
Prepares shift logs and required reports.
Work with access control systems and gate access areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years old and physically fit.
Able to follow written and verbal direction.
Must display exceptional customer service skills.
Be an effective team member, yet work independently.
Have good organizational skills.
Able to work outside in inclement weather when necessary.
Have a genuine desire to service our clients and our community.
Must pay attention to details.
Display a polished and professional appearance.
Must have a valid Colorado driver's license and clean driving record.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
