E3 Chophouse in Steamboat Springs, CO is hiring a Sous Chef that is committed to delivering the highest quality of food, product standards, sanitation and safety. Experience leading a BOH staff and a comfortability with a seasonally changing menu are imperative. Candidates must have 2+ years current kitchen experience in an upscale, high volume location.
We source all of our beef from the E3 Ranch in Southeast Kansas, creating a fine dining, ranch to table experience for guests.
Essential Duties
Assist the Executive Chef in kitchen duties
Contribute ideas to the menu planning process
Train and supervise the line production staff, while holding them accountable
Exhibit working knowledge of food cost, best practices (line checks), purchasing, current restaurant software and the overall organization of a kitche
Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all HACCP regulations.
Meet all health department standards for safe food handling.
Operate equipment safely determined by position and HACCP.
Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Guest interaction occasionally required
Culinary degree a plus.
Experience in meat cutting and yields required.
