A small Old Town Fort Collins injury law firm is seeking an experienced personal injury paralegal who knows how to handle a claim from start to finish.
Specifically, we are looking for:
A self-starter who is super motivated without micro-managing or ongoing direct supervision
Someone who is on time, stays on task and always gets their work done without being asked
Excellent organizational skills while working within an already established system
Personable, professional and able to get along with all types of people in all types of situations
In-depth knowledge of laws and rules associated with a Colorado personal injury claim
Good writing and communication skills
Job Duties Include:
Taking new client intake calls and evaluating new cases
Signing up new cases and opening new files
Maintaining communication with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, etc.
Requesting and following up on medical records & bills, accident reports and employment records
Drafting settlement demand packages
Negotiating with lien holders
Calculating and calendaring deadlines
Drafting and filing pleadings, scheduling depositions, preparing for trial, etc.
