Workers Compensation Paralegal

One of our top clients with multi-state presence is looking for a Workers Compensation Litigation paralegal with 4 plus years' experience in workers compensation defense or similar litigation practice to join their busy office in downtown Denver. The Workers Compensation paralegal will be responsible for: maintaining associates' calendars, task lists, hearing lists, and case lists; docketing and scheduling deadlines; opening files; drafting initial discovery responses, initial pleadings, subpoenas, settlement documents, correspondence, enclosures to clients, and initial claim files/claim note redactions; preparing DIME records packets, IME records packets, and hearing exhibits; reviewing and download filings on Colorado e-filing system; filing pleadings and documents with courts; reviewing documents; scheduling depositions, court reporters, hearings, prehearings, settlement conferences/mediations, and expert witness testimony. Litigation Paralegal

Our client, a boutique complex commercial litigation firm, is seeking a full time experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a team of attorneys in their Business Litigation area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing and responding to discovery (including e-discovery needs), review and summarize various records and deposition transcripts, research using Westlaw, drafting motions and pleadings, calendaring deadlines, and trial preparation (trial exhibits, charts, trial notebook, voir dire, jury instructions, verdict forms, trial subpoenas, etc.) An ability to work under pressure, remain flexible, proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented and efficient are musts. Requires solid organizational skills and strong attention to detail. High proficiency in applications are favorable such as Microsoft Office Suite, Trial Director, and ADD/Eclipse, along with 3 plus years of civil litigation and trial experience.
