The job:
We are looking primarily for guides to work the Garden of Gods tour on an on call basis throughout the winter months. We also run a tour on gold camp road and old stage as well if trail conditions permit. By getting involved it will also allow you to transition into a full time guide position once the season starts in the spring.
It is a fun, fast paced job that allows for many opportunities to make tips and make some great new friends.
Qualifications:
Confident, friendly and outgoing personality.
Strong cycling ability and the capability to teach cycling techniques to a wide variety of personality types.
Strong teamwork ethic.
Ability to communicate calmly, genuinely and with compassion to guests that are often scared or anxious.
We are a company that consistently receives 5 star reviews. It is vital that all team members work to maintain a high level of service. Therefore, personal attributes such as punctuality and integrity are characteristics that already exist and are expected at PPBT. It is important that all new teammates also serve our guests with the previously mentioned values.
Although not a strong requirement, we are also looking for individuals with (WFA) wilderness first aid training, A common certification for Colorado guides, we will potentially be offering the course at a reduced rate in the spring, however, we are looking for individuals that already have medical or WFA training.
Other important hiring factors:
It is vital that all guides have a familiarity and comfort with bicycles and a passion for the mountains as well as a love for the Colorado lifestyle.
We are looking for unique professional individuals that know how to apply themselves in an effective manner. We encourage people of all ages to apply.
Work conditions:
Lead tours on ebikes at the Garden of the Gods park. Tours are around 3 hours long.
We are open all year round for our Gold Camp and Garden of the Gods tours.
Guides are responsible for the overall safety and fun of the guests.
Pay is $40 a tour plus tips.
