During the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping people home is essential to reduce risk for the vulnerable who are being disproportionately affected in nursing homes and other facilities.
Mountain View Home Care is hiring compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable caregivers to support people who are limited by old age and disability.
OVERVIEW:
With staff supervision, caregivers assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care (such as helping clients with bathing, dressing, and ambulation) and homemaking (such as doing laundry, shopping, and preparing meals) in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas in El Paso county. This enables clients to continue living at home despite disability or old age. Some caregivers may receive additional training to provide individualized health maintenance services under the direction of the client and a nurse.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Driver's License and a reliable, insured vehicle
- Phone with data capabilities
- Regular access to a personal email account and the internet
- Ability to safely bear at least 25 pounds
- At least 18 years of age
No medical certification is required, but relevant background and experience is preferred (such as basic first aid, infection control, basic precautions, assisted living, personal care, etc).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The number of clients that can be assigned to a caregiver is limited in order to protect the vulnerable population they serve. Current openings are therefore for PRN positions. Caregivers will continue to follow enhanced infection control protocols to protect clients as Colorado reopens and loosens restrictions.
