Essential Job Functions$1,354.25 Bi-Weekly / Depends On QualificationsProvides administrative and technical support services for the Children, Youth & Family Services (CYFS) Division of the El Paso County Department of Human Services.

Performs data entry in established databases to include TRAILS, Whippet, Child Welfare Eligibility and Services Tracking System, and Medical Eligibility Systems; updates and maintains databases to ensure accuracy. Manages and completes Maintenance of Effort (MOE) determinations.

Processes, scans, and files child abuse/neglect referrals.

Creates, updates, and maintains files to include assessments and ongoing cases.

Tracks, updates, and maintains log of appeals for founded assessments and outcomes.

Researches data utilizing databases and compiles reports.

Provides technical assistance to personnel to ensure data entry is accurate and up-to-date.

Schedules paternity testing; submits results to the appropriate parties.

Schedules and participates in Institutional Safety Assessment Team meetings.

Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent education required.

Minimum two (2) years administrative experience.

Ability to perform multiple tasks in a high-volume, high-stress work environment.

Ability to communicate and work effectively with co-workers, other DHS personnel, clients, other agencies and community organizations, and the general public.

Ability to efficiently plan, schedule, and organize.

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to write and maintain accurate records and reports to meet management objectives.

Knowledge of office policies and procedures and state statutes.

Ability to assess situations and make prudent and appropriate decisions; ability to apply conflict resolution and problem solving skills.

Ability to respond in a flexible manner and reprioritize as situations change.

Ability to create and maintain accurate case files.

Ability to type correspondence and reports quickly and accurately.

Ability to use standard office equipment including computer, fax machine, copier, and telephone; working knowledge of state databases and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to maintain the security of sensitive and confidential information.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Must pass conditional post offer background investigation and drug screen.
