CPA Firm, Westlake Village, CA

Located in Westlake Village, CA, we are a growing CPA firm with a solid reputation based on our quality tax, accounting and financial planning services. We have multiple locations in the Los Angeles area providing services to a wide range of clients and industries. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced professional work environment.

Detail oriented and have strong organizational and problem solving skills.

Good oral and written communication skills on the phone and via email. customer-focused.

Able to handle all tasks in a timely manner and have a sense of urgency.

Team-player, Positive attitude, Good interpersonal skills.

Tech-savvy and able to resolve basic IT issues while working in a paperless environment.

Process driven with the ability to prioritize and have good follow-up/follow-through skills.

Possess a confident, professional demeanor and handle confidential files discreetly.

Strong computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office software required including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

Ability to use office equipment, including but not limited to a computer, copier, scanner, etc. as well as related software programs.

Previous work experience in a CPA firm preferred but not required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assemble business and individual tax return packages for government filing.

Electronically send tax returns and other documents securely to clients.

File Power of Attorneys with IRS & CA.

Manage staffing of assignments and monthly due date lists.

Process and mail year-end tax documents to clients, including tax engagement letters, and tax organizers

Tax engagement letter preparation and tracking.

Handle inbound and outbound firm correspondence with clients via telephone, email, mail, and fax from internal and external sources.

Manage organize and update relevant data using database applications. (Be responsible for client profile in Axcess)ï

Preparation and filing of 1099s for clients

Maintain and track tax project's status

Roll tax returns into next year's tax software and roll projects over to next year in CCH workstream

Sending clients quarterly payroll reports

Bookkeeping for Businesses and high net worth individuals
