We are currently hiring a full time Assistant Risk Manager at our Calabasas Corporate Office. The Assistant Risk Manager is responsible to assist in assigned functions of the Risk Management, Commercial lines and Personal lines Departments. This position will perform clerical and technical duties to assist in the ongoing operations of the agency and risk management department. Duties will include incident report filing and collections; database management, spreadsheet and correspondence maintenance, and vendor insurance compliance following all through to completion.
Schedule: Monday Friday from 8:30am to 5:30 pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for maintenance of incident report files, including all relevant correspondence.
Review incident files for cost recovery opportunities, and following through to collection on each.
Maintenance of the Risk management database updating policies, DMV renewals and bill payments.
Review recurring billings and submitting each for payment
Responsible for risk management projects as assigned
Assist in preparation of Risk Management reports for submission to various managers/end users.
Collection and distribution of daily hard copy correspondence.
Maintenance of tenant insurance spreadsheet and reporting on Self Storage Tenant Insurance policy
Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned by Vice President.
Attending train when required by position demands and satisfying current licensing extended education requirements.
Adhering to agency procedures and industry best practices, including maintaining accurate files and notes in the Agency Management System.
Must possess a valid CA Drivers license, registration, and valid car insurance, and be willing to use personal vehicle to travel for business purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have strong computer knowledge of MS Office
Must have excellent time management and organization skills
Property Casualty Personal Account Management Experience helpful
Applied Systems (TAM) experience helpful
Must exercise considerable judgment and discretion involving confidential information
Demonstrated integrity on personal as well as professional level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
