A well-known non-profit organization in San Luis Obispo is looking to hire a Purchasing Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all activities associated with procuring capital supplies, equipment, and materials. You will play an essential role in a dynamic team and become a key business partner in areas such as researching technical information and handling vendor purchases, returns, and cancellations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, track, and process Purchase Orders and issue/distribute when applicable
- Review new vendor requests
- Coordinate capital supply purchases as well as services as needed
- Take care of vendor cancellations and rejected orders
- Reschedule and expedite orders as needed
- Maintain accuracy of reports of electronic and hard copy records
- Assure purchase order terms and conditions are met as requested
- Complete additional projects within given deadlines as necessary
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree preferred
- 5+ years purchasing or relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written
- Acute attention to detail
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and 10 key by touch
