The purpose of this position to actively patrol the interior and exterior of a residential and commercial building.
More part-time, full time, on-call shifts are available throughout SF, Peninsula, East, and South Bay.
The Basic Security Officer (BSO) comprises the base element of security services. General duties and responsibilities include providing security services to a variety of clients. These duty posts include manufacturing and distribution facilities, religious institutions, retail sites and any other fixed or temporary location as needed or required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Protect property and lives
Monitor entrance of the property
Identify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation
Guard against theft and maintain security
Respond to alarms and calls of distress
Complete accurate incident reports
Call for aid if necessary
Answer telephone calls, take messages, answer questions, provide information
Prevent the passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areas
Prevent access to unauthorized persons
Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use
Regulate and monitor building systems
Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working
Complete all required security logs
Proper flag maintenance
Communicate effectively with client management, employees and visitors
Other Duties
Wear uniform neatly and correctly
Be alert at all times during duty period
Always ready to deal with security emergencies
You must be reliable, with a can-do attitude with alertness to do the job right.
You must have great customer service, observing, and reporting skills.
Must greet the customers with a smile, remain active, project a professional image for the company.
Must have a guard card, with 1.5 years experience as a security guard is preferred.
Must have a driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Must be fluent in writing, reading and speaking English.
Must be comfortable using a desktop computer, and smartphone.
Watch CCTV cameras system and stay alert all the time.
Must use the visitor log system and Handy Box key management system.
Just maintain detailed reports of incidents on the site.
Conduct scheduled site tours of the property, complete tasks, and the logs.
Investigate security-related accidents/incidents, interview witnesses, complaints, and victims; responsible for gathering physical evidence and preserving it for future use; complete report and follow up with management as needed
Respond to all requests for assistance relayed by Supervisor or client; complete various company or client assignments as required; submit reports to a superior officer
