Private OBGYN office seeking part-time office assistant
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Answer incoming calls
- Coordinate patient care with other employees and doctor
- Support doctor in staying organized
- Schedule patients appointments
- Checking patients in and out
- Respond and delegate emails accordingly
- Collect patient payments
- Perform basic office functions such as coping, faxing, filing, and scanning
- Submit prior authorization requests to insurances
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to go the extra mile to make sure all patients are satisfied
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail
- Confidence and ability to work independently
We are seeking a professional person with a positive attitude who is dependable, empathetic, and who can develop a trusting relationship with patients and staff. Must be organized, computer literate and have the ability to follow through and complete work assignments independently. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task while paying attention to detail. Experience in the medical field and ability to maintain strict confidentiality is required.
Hours will be Monday- Friday 12-5:30/6
