SLH Emergency Medical Technician - [4 POSITIONS]

SUMMARY: The SLH Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Department of Nursing. The EMT collects data and implements task specific functions as directed by the Registered Nurse. The EMT delivers care that is specific to the special behaviors / needs of the patient and is age appropriate for the individual, as well as, providing for the patient's significant other's. The EMT will not sub delegate tasks that have been delegated by the Registered Nurse. Distribution of staff and patients may require reassignment to other nursing areas. Performs related duties as required.
