DescriptionFinancial Analysts who are skilled might want to apply to Accountemps's new job opening. Are you looking for work as a Financial Analyst? In this position, you would have the opportunity to become a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. We are looking for people who can conduct financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. You will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This Financial Analyst role is based in the San Jose, California, area and is a long-term temporary employment opportunity.Key responsibilities
Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Power monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support
Watch over annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations
Adaptable applicant skilled in dealing with large amounts of information and meeting expectations
Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Assemble and overview forecasting reports
Contribute to weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting
Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Work next to senior executives on long-term deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Requirements
Excel Formulas experience
Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience ideal)
