We are seeking a dynamic individual at our established wine-centric restaurant.ÂCandidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome will stand out. Team Members who are friendly, comfortable speaking with strangers, and who have great organizational skills make exceptional First Impressions Hosts/Hostesses. A positive attitude and a desire to deliver True Hospitality will make you successful in this role.
Ultimately, you will ensure that guests arrive at and leave our restaurant satisfied and you will contribute to the stores profitability.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Communication Skills: You'll need to cheerfully greet guests. ÂCommunication is key to Host/Hostess jobs. You will need great listening and speaking skills to create a great dining experience for guests.
Take them to their table and provide them with silverware and a menu.
Be able to monitor the table rotation and make sure that each member of the wait staff gets a fair amount of tables without giving them too many all at once.
Know which servers you can count on to take extra tables when you get slammed with customers.
You'll also need to keep track of which tables are cleaned and available for new guests, and you may even be required to answer the phone, take reservations and in some cases take-out orders.
On occasion you'll have to deal with some unpleasant people.
Side work will be required during slow times.
Wages are DOE and start at $12/hour plus tips.
AvailableÂ3-4 shift a week (some weeks could be 5), open availability, mornings and Sundays are a must as are most Holidays.
