Eligible Special Selection clients should contact their Disability Counselor for assistance.DESCRIPTIONThe Office of Decedent Affairs Coordinator facilitates care through discussing postmortem examination with legal next of kin and obtaining legal consent, utilizes UC San Diego Health electronic medical records systems for review and identification of medical examiner reportable criteria as required by California statue, documentation of deaths and postmortem examinations, coordinates transportation of decedent remains to the morgue, ensures all respective documentation is compliant with regulatory agencies and complete, and incorporates appropriate resources as necessitated. In addition to the DA duties assist Capacity Management - Patient Flow departments of - Nurse Staffing Office and Transfer Center.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) years of related experience, including decendent affairs experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate professionally with all audiences including but not limited to physicians, nurses, patients and families of patients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Acute hospital nursing staffing experience.

Hospital Unit Secretary or medical front office experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
