A well established company in Carlsbad is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This position will be doing AP/AR, and light accounting functions to support the accounting department. Ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience, an outgoing and warm personality and available to start ASAP.
Position: Staff Accountant
Job Duties:
General bookkeeping
Process accounts payable invoices and payments
Daily morning data entry
Reconciles cash receipts and bank statements
Creating, adjusting and entering journal entries into accounting software
Maintain Files - Ensure accurate and organized filing system
Inputs information quickly and accurately from various of sources
Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned
Job Requirements:
AA degree or 4+ years of accounting experience
Month-end close experience
Bank reconciliation experience
Detail-oriented and reliable with professional attitude
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, and multi-tasking skills
