Miramar HR Internship Program

We are a people-centered organization at Miramar, and we believe that a company’s greatest assets are its people. With that in mind, our goal for this internship program is simple: give our interns concrete work experience in the most common disciplines of People Experience and Human Resources.

Our internship is a paid, experiential program that will take each intern into the inner workings of our HR department over a 6 month period. They will receive exposure to details and facets of this department such as onboarding and hiring, compliance, caring for our employees in a remote environment, building out an HR department within a growing tech company, and more. The intern will be entrusted with work and be expected to add value to the team and projects they have been assigned while working closely with the Employee Experience and Culture Value Manager during the extent of the internship. An intern can expect to work on items such as creating an exceptional employee-experience culture, setting up and maintaining employees’ files, learning and implementing compliance regulations, actively engage resources such as CalChamber to access HR requirements and principles and utilizing those in day to day work. The ability to maintain confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

Through this experience, interns will learn valuable skills that will set them up well for the job market. Each intern will learn how to create a competitive resume and understand the key components of an interview. They will learn how to perform head and shoulders above other candidates in both soft skills and technical interviews in order to land the job of their dreams. Interns will discover what employers are looking for and how to position themselves for roles at top companies as well as learn how to negotiate a competitive salary in a way that makes the company hiring feel like a genius for giving it to them.

Requirements:

A Background check as well as a confidentiality NDA will be required
