Seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a commercial, residential, and agricultural company in Manteca, CA. The job of Electrical Maintenance Technician was established for the purpose/s of performing skilled and semi-skilled work in the installation and maintenance of irrigation and electrical systems, auxiliary controls, pulling wire, running pipes and underground layout duties.
DUTIES REQUIRED:
Able to work with 120/240Vand 3 Phase 240/480V. Maintain 480V services and knowledge of Motor controls (helpful but not mandatory).
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Be able to bend conduit.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Running conduit (pipes or tubing) up to 4 inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
Transports a variety of items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years experience in electrical
Must provide own transportation to work
Must have basic hand tools
