Job Description

The Superintendent of the Build Team will lead operations for Texino's Van Conversion teams, which work to install various components and accessories in van conversions such as walls, headliners, door panels, flooring, seating, shelving, and all custom interior and exterior parts, windows, Running boards, etc. In addition, this experienced Installer will work with plumbing installations, custom seat fabrication/installations, and quality control inspections. The position is responsible for the timely completion of assigned work with a high level of craftsmanship.

Work Activities - Knowledge Of and Experience In:

- Installing and instructing teams on water and air heating systems in vans, such as Webasto systems.

- Installing and instructing teams on sinks, water pumps, water tanks, fittings/hoses, air duct, etc.

- Various other duties required for van conversion

Physical Demands

- Physical demands may require lifting and/or moving a minimum of 50lbs.

- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may frequently be required to: Stand, kneel, bend, squat, push or pull.

Requirements:

- REQUIRED: 5 years experience in the van conversion, vehicle up-fit, RV or mechanic industry.

- REQUIRED: 2 years experience of plumbing.

- REQUIRED: Ability to install interior van components. This includes the ability to determine how parts should go together and using hand and/or power tools to make adjustments and/or assemble them together.

- REQUIRED: Knowledge and ability to use hand or power tools to assemble parts and various components.

- REQUIRED: Automotive / Mechanical / Plumbing background.

- REQUIRED: Ability to multi-task, this position is a very detailed oriented.

- REQUIRED: Knowledge of basic hand and power tools is required.

- Has the ability to understand and carry-out directions from supervisors.

- Has physical strength and stamina required to lift and move equipment, boxes, and parts, sometimes in excess of 50 lbs.

- Has a strong work ethic and drive, organized, punctual, and self-motivated.

- Has the ability to manage teams and plan multiple projects.

- Has good oral communication skills.

- Willing to work overtime.

- Has a valid CA Driver License and is comfortable operating full-size vehicles.

- Can read and follow instruction sheets, prints, and plans.

- Can make suggestions on improving processes and products, verbally and in written form.

- Properly utilizes safety equipment, including hearing protection, eye and face protection, and gloves when applicable.

- Has the willingness to assist in overall facility cleanliness.

- Maintains all tools and work area in a clean and organized fashion.

- Is capable and efficient in the installation of vehicle equipment and accessories, resulting in high-quality workmanship.
