Office Number: 818-920-5700The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.Human Resources GeneralistDuties:Serves as a main liaison to maintenance division on all issues of human resources while working in concert with the Corp HR to ensure that all applicable procedures are followedAdministers various human resource plans and procedures for maintenance personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and proceduresDevelops and implement needed training plans related to HR ItemsAssist, facilitate and provide answers to employees regarding their benefits and other related HR infoParticipates in developing department goals, objectives and systemsMonitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessaryAssist in claims and conflict resolution and conflictDevelops and maintains affirmative action programHelps conduct additional recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employeesHandles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewingParticipates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminarsMaintains company organization charts and the employee directory.Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performedMaintains human resource information system recordsMaintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employmentPerforms other related duties as required and assignedHuman Resources GeneralistCompetencies: Problem Solving/AnalysisProject ManagementStrong communication skillsDisplays ethical conductEffective time management skillsHuman Resources GeneralistRequirements: A bachelors degree or three to five years human resource experience, or a masters degree in human resource management and two years experience in the HR field, or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
