As a Plumber, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing all property plumbing equipment, ensuring that property standards are met. Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of a Plumber include:
Operating, preventatively maintaining and repairing all property plumbing & heating equipment
Producing parts list and seeking out competitive bidding for materials and parts
Completing maintenance request work orders from all departments on a timely basis
Ensuring that equipment and tools are working properly
Maintaining clean and safe work and storage areas
Controlling inventory
Performing general maintenance for other property areas as needed
Completing other special projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager Job Requirements:
The ideal Plumber candidate will have previous hotel and/or ship experience. We are looking for a high energy, motivated individual who will take ownership and who has the organization skills to manage several tasks at once.
The minimum qualifications for the Plumber position are:
Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders) throughout shift
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Ability to make repeated movements of the arms, hands and wrists
Ability to formulate and apply appropriate course of action for routine and/or familiar situations
Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions, receive job assignments and communicate progress and/or completion of assignment, and basic guest requests
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Must be highly motivated and interested in the challenge of a career Preferred & Required Experience:
Minimum of five years experience, certified/qualified to maintain and use plumbing tools and equipment
Knowledgeable in plumbing systems, heating hot water systems, steam boiler systems and safety practices
Previous experience with pipefitting, soldering of copper piping and threading of black iron piping
