Seeking Female ILS Trainer/Direct Support staff to work with very high functioning developmentally disabled clients. Flexible must be flexible.
Preferably, Applicants will have a minimum 6 months experience working with developmentally disabled adults, familiar with Regional Centers, however, we are willing to train the right person. Applicants are responsible for assisting and teaching clients various daily activities such as organization, cleaning, cooking, and implementation of the client's program and development plans in the client's home. The ILS Counselor also assists the clients in the community, running errands, grocery shopping, attending medical appointments, and helping client achieve the highest level of independence through coaching, interaction and development.
Job Requirements:
21 years of age or older
High school graduate or GED, College preferred.
Must live within a 15 mile radius from clientele
Must speak, read, and write English fluently
Must have strong writing and organizational skills
Must be proficient with, and own a computer, own a printer, scanner, fax and have internet and email access.
Must be professional and responsible, no flakes!
Must be available during to accommodate client schedule
Must have reliable transportation and current auto insurance
Must have valid California drivers license
Pass criminal background check.
CPR/First Aid Certified or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
