Job Description
Purpose of position:Provide financial support to Operations and Financial Management to drive short and long-term business decisions for the purpose of attainment of division goals. Responsible for analysis of business results and development of projects. Maintain and supervise an accurate period close. Prepare, analyze and review weekly and period end reports to distribute to operations management. Conduct field audits to identify risk and provide findings with recommendations for operations management. Review balance sheet account analysis worksheets on a period basis and make any necessary adjustments. Coordinate with operations management on development of the annual budget and standard costs. Effectively communicate with manager, staff, and operations on pertinent information. Develop staff and create a team environment within the department. Create value through relevant and objective insight Essential Job Functions:Maintain and supervise an accurate period close and create, analyze, and review weekly and period end performance and production reports.Train and develop staff and deal with any personnel issues as necessaryCoordinate with operations management to prepare an annual budget and standard costs.Conduct field audits to identify risk. Identify findings and propose action plans for operations management to mitigate or eliminate risk.Establish strong partnerships with operations management in order to gain understanding of operational challenges and structure information resources accordinglyAd hoc requests from operations management and Operations ControllerConduct Field Audits and Post-internal audit initiatives as appropriate.Additional Functions:Develop an understanding of the business and have the ability to anticipate questions from the business to aid in decision makingIn the absence of certain key financial positions, may be used as an interim resourceQualifications
Minimum Requirements:B.S degree in accounting or related field.Three-four years accounting experience, with supervisory experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Computer literacy (strong Excel and database skills).Self-starter, detail-oriented and well organized.Ability to work within strict time frames in order to meet deadlines.Preferred Requirements:MBA or CPAExperience with consumer products, commodities perishable foods, and/or integrated poultryPhysical Requirements:Consistent and reliable attendanceAdditional Information
