Job duties include:
Responsible for cleaning and stacking goods into their correct containers and pallets and preparing them for shipment using various equipment. Cleans and prepares materials before placing goods in them. Minor assembly of parts using hand tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Prepare goods for shipment.
- Pack them following a specific set of instructions.
- Perform minor hardware assembly
- Clean and prepare materials for shipment
- Check to ensure containers are damage free.
- Verify if items pulled out of package are correct.
- Fill out forms and papers to record measurement, weight, and product count.
- Keep track of inventory.
- Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks.
- Seal and label each container.
- Move completed packages for loading.
- Count items.
- Review packing lists.
- Mark and label containers.
- Seal containers with glue and fasteners.
- Tag containers with marking tools.
Candidates MUST possess the following skills / experience
- Experience in the use of hand tools
- Selecting proper tools and fixtures
- Can read specification from shipping orders
- Verify specification per work orders
- The ability to accurately measure dimensions
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong shop environmental and safety awareness skills.
The ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Must be willing to work day shift with potential overtime.
