Metal Finisher;
Will operate hand and power tools/equipment in order to grind welds and finish steel parts
Essential Functions
Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environment
Follow any/all safety guidelines and procedures
Lift parts on/off material carts and tables, handling of steel tubular frames.
Grinding and sanding of welds, using power grinders and orbital sanders, to prepare for powder coating process
Sweep and clean work area and equipment
Must maintain a safe and clean work environment
Select and attach abrasive wheels, or disks according to product and sander or grinder specifications
Report product defects and take appropriate steps to correct
Candidates MUST possess the following skills / experience
Experience in the use of hand tools
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong shop environmental and safety awareness skills.
The ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Must be willing to work day shift with potential overtime.
