Job SummaryAmentum is currently searching for an (Temporary) Electrician to work at our Sierra Army Depot / Herlong, CA site. Essential Responsibilities include: An Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Minimum of 3-5 years experience required. Serves as a Journeyman ElectircianMust be physically capable of; lifting 45 pounds, standing on stepladders, and reaching overhead.Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must maintain a valid driver’s license to operate Amentum or Government motorized equipment/vehicles. Position may require travel. Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Must be able to speak, read and understand English. This position requires the candidate to pass a pre-employment physical examination and urinary analysis. Must be available for any shift, must be willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.Preferred Qualifications EOE including Disability/Protected Veterans.
