This position is considered a very key position in the company structure. The duties for this person are described below.

1. Provide AP/ AR billing and collection. Process all receivable customer checks into the bank account. Provide monthly profit and loss statements, monthly cash flow statement and any other financial reporting as required to keep the company safe and the cash flow moving in a positive direction. Work with Kathy Watson (Owner), Josh Lane (Vice President), or Les Watson (Owner/President) to resolve any legal or accounting issues or decisions that need to be made. Meet with the company outside accountant to verify and approve the quarterly financial statements.

2. Handle all IRS, state or county forms, audits, and negotiations in conjunction with Kathy and Les Watson to resolve any reporting issue or satisfy questions.

3. Document employee hours, enter time and calculate payroll in QuickBooks. Distribute payroll and safety meeting brochures in each check. Make SAR-SEP payment and schedule IRS and CA payroll tax deposits.

4. Work with insurance agents for the company liability, vehicle and workers comp insurance and renewals and provide any renewal documentation to the President or Vice President.

5. Meet with Les Watson and Josh Lane as often as necessary to keep them informed of operating or cash flow conditions, vendor bills to be paid, new equipment requirements or requests. Review employee records for time off, special shows, etc. Handle any, and all correspondence in and out of the office pertaining to new laws, rules and changing conditions.

6. Maintain an accurate log of all employee time off for: sick, personal and vacation.

7. Provide end of year financial statement closing and work with the company tax preparer and outside accountant to accurately provide the written closing statements, balance sheet and P&L.

8. Submit sales tax deposits online, prepare and submit workers comp audit annually and provide HR management, revise employee manual, and document the Sar-Sep and Aflac program.

Must have a minimum of five years of experience working with QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Office and five years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper and with compiling and filing prevailing wage payroll. Construction industry experience is a must.
