The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California! We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants.Functions as a clinical leader/expert in a particular specialty or subspecialty of nursing. Practice aims at achieving quality patient care outcomes. Responsible for coordinating orientation programs, continuing inservice education, and ongoing educational programs for the nursing staff. Works with unit management to organize and develop quality assurance projects. Collaborates and consults with other nurses and healthcare professionals to advance nursing practice and improve clinical outcomes.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Approximately two years clinical experience in area of specialty. Experience in patient and staff education development and implementation, quality improvement, program development, and professional development.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Current BLS certification.
