This role will support the development of strategic networks in the West required to meet the needs of diverse business segments in a competitive market place. This individual will also help to ensure that the region maintains competitive rates and manages to multi-year plans to improve competitive position while promoting affordability.This individual must be well versed in provider reimbursement, both capitation, and fee for service. This role will provide leadership and guidance as we look to modernize our provider contracts. Develops processes and reporting as we look to execute on improved reimbursement methods, and trend management while realizing efficiency improvements in our modeling process. This individual will help to advance the modeling processes and will aid in the mentoring of analysts within the market.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:· Supports the development and execution of strategic networks in the West region supporting Commercial growth. Includes both HMO and fee for service configurations.· Develops reporting/process to support contract renewals and remediation, including both capitated delegated HMO and fee for service methodologies.· Reviews trend performance and identifies key drivers of performance, partakes in remediation planning as needed.· Provides leadership in motivating team members to accomplish reporting and analytics goals and objectives.· Reports project status and progress to business unit senior management.· Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for assigned functional areas.· Implements the policies, practices, and procedures of the company and business units supported.· Establishes relationships with business users both internal and external to the department.· Oversees entire reporting/analysis/consulting unit or all aspects of a centralized function.· Partners with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives.· Coordinates project management for assigned project· Ability to communicate with customers about technical issues in non-technical terms.· Understands the business processes that the system/programs support.Qualifications:· Requires Bachelor's degree and 10+ years’ experience leading project teams, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.· Knowledge of commercial managed care reimbursement methodologies including but not limited to capitation, hospital fee for service, ASC, and professional fee for service· Familiarity with value based contracting· Experience using risk scores and efficiency data· Exposure to narrow and strategic network development· Prior leadership or management experience preferred.· Effective communication skills, including facilitation, consultation, negotiation and persuasion.We are ranked as one of America's Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine, and is a 2017 DiversityInc magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity.
