The mission of the Information Services Department at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is to leverage reliable and emerging technology and information resources to advance the operations of all business units. The Network Team is responsible for ensuring the reliability of existing systems and evaluating new systems. As a Network Administrator on the Network Team, this position will share responsibility with their teammates to help us achieve our mission. The NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR 1 will perform duties under direct supervision, supporting less complex systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Under general supervision will perform and assure reliable system software backups and recovery

- Install, maintain and upgrade all networking equipment

- Install, maintain and upgrade all phone system components (Cisco Call Manager)

- Install, maintain and upgrade all video conferencing equipment (Cisco Telepresence)

- Generate and address work order (WO) tickets for issues requiring a visit to remote equipment

- Research and resolve end-user issues and complex technical problems

- Respond to telephone or email inquiries and troubleshoot hardware and software problems

- Under general supervision will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system software and related networking issues

- Under general supervision will configure, optimize, fine-tune, and monitor system software running on networking equipment

- Under general supervision will manage, monitor, maintain, and support assigned third-party applications

- Under general supervision will troubleshoot/resolve user access and configuration problems

- Recognize and escalate more difficult problems

- Provide reliable and responsive service to internal customers

- Address and document all support activities, problems and resolutions

- Write/maintain system documentation

- Support users by providing technical assistance for hardware/software troubleshooting, including training

- Maintain accurate records of system licensing

- Maintain hardware/software inventories

- Actively participate in system software installation and applying patches and upgrades

- Share after-hours monitoring and response duties
