This position will perform duties which support the companys QA/QC and operational key indicators, as well as verify all products to ensure that Food Safety, Quality, SQF standards, and specifications are met.

Pass second/third party audits (including SQF) and regulatory audits with high ratings

Completion/accuracy of assigned projects

Quality of relationships

Essential Job Function

Responsible for establishing, implementing, and directing quality control and food safety efforts to ensure that requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products conform to quality standards.

Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspections, testing, and evaluation.

Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analyze equipment and facility.

Optimization of raw material control and use within recipes.

Maintain SQF and HACCP systems validating testing and assurance compliance.

Document quality information and prepare reports and/or manuals.

Review production and quality reports on a weekly basis being aware of any quality deviation.

Follow-up on corrective actions when quality deviation occurs.

Participate on projects for continuous improvement.

Support translation of product specifications to appropriate manufacturing documentation.

Lead and facilitate the facility in consumer and customer complaint resolution and reduction activity.

Conduct quality audits; evaluate test data and deviations, verifies Certificate of Analysis (COA).

Process all non-conforming products against company established quality standards.

Prepare and maintain required documentation of test results.

Monitor inventory levels.

Assist with new employee orientation and training.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 4 year experience in the food industry, preferably with supervisory experience

SQF Practitioner ideal, GFSI experience required

Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office with skills in Microsoft Word/Excel, Power Point, Outlook
