ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises volunteers and persons receiving services in center- and/or community-based activities.

Assists persons receiving services who are non-ambulatory to move about the facility and community.

Teaches daily living, vocational, recreational, socialization and community integration skills to persons receiving services.

Develops and implements lesson plans/curriculum for assigned classes and community-based activities.

Develops individual objectives and treatment methodologies for persons receiving services.

Participates in assessment and on-going evaluation of ISP objectives for persons receiving services.

Maintains timely and accurate records and reports.

Assists DSP II in coordinating community-based activities and assists in the transportation of persons receiving services to community-based activities.

Maintains accurate accounting and safeguards individual petty cash accounts of persons receiving services, when in possession of petty cash envelope.

Assists persons receiving services with toileting, changing, and personal care, following each individual's personal care protocol.

Exercises independent judgment on a continual basis within guidelines, working towards achievement of goals and objectives of persons receiving services.

Schedule is Monday - Friday.

Final candidate must pass post-offer pre-employment, fingerprinting, negative drug screen, physical ability testing, health screen and negative TB test.
