Job description:
Monitor the safety of children
Assist with activities; songs, reading, storytelling, indoor/outdoor games
Play with open ended toys in a way that help children explore creativity
Properly handle situations of conflict using redirection and role play
Assist with mealtimes (breakfast, lunch and snacks) and clean up for all meals
Help with children self-care
Change infants and toddlers diapers, and assist with toilet training
Clean and sanitize day care areas and toys
State of CA required documentation
Livescan fingerprint clearance
Immunizations: TB Test, Tdap, MMR, Influenza
current CPR/First Aid and Infant CPR/First Aid
Employment Eligibility and Work Experience Requirements
2 year minimum verifiable history of caring for multiple young children
Respond quickly and calmly to an emergency or difficult situation
Commitment to punctuality and high standard of work ethic
Work well with people to develop good relationships with parents and children
Ability to lift infants and toddlers for diaper changing
Ability to sit on the floor with during reading or play time for an extended period of time
Ability to kneel to speak to child in a gentle voice at their eye level
Smoke free environment
Current Opening 7:30am - 4:00pm Mon, Wed, Fri only
Additional hours may be available as day care enrollment grows to capacity.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $11.00 /hour
