Work Shift: 1ST SHIFT (United States of America)SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing a number of analytical, microbiological or quality system procedures or work instructions in a Food Safety Laboratory. Precision and accuracy in performance of the work instructions and data collection is essential; must be able to maintain ISO records for process control and comply with quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be passed and competency will be verified at least annually thereafter. Team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency on all applicable work instructions as well as growth after training and would be in a position to accept a full time position should one become available.REQUIREMENTS:Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.Experience: Applicable laboratory experience and/or shipping and receiving experience is preferred.Computer Skills: General knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office Applications; Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) preferred.Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.Special Skills: Good Laboratory Practices.Physical Requirements: Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break. Physically able to stand,bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance,crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds withou tassistance.Supervisory: NA:Travel: N/AThis is a part time lab position. Hours worked per week will be an average between 20 and 24 and includes working three of every four Saturdays.This position does not offer reimbursement for interview expenses and/or relocation assistance.
