Accounting Assistant - Perryville ARKelly Services is currently seeking a professional candidate for a contract opportunity in Perryville AR.As an Accounting Assistnat placed with Kelly Services, You will perform timely and accurate accounting, bookkeeping, and clerical support duties. They will assist in financial reporting, including preparing reports to Heifer management teams and donors.Additional Job Responsibilities Include:

Perform timely application of payments received, bank deposits, and remittance of backup information to headquarters.

Process invoices for payment, including the verification of accuracy of invoices and the related GL coding.

Prepare check requests for vendors weekly.

Assist colleagues with accounting related questions, research, etc.

Assist with various reconciliations.

Maintain vendor list

Lead process for any new vendor for approvals.

Prepare and maintain various accounting templates, as well as provide assistance to various Heifer staff on how to use these templates.

Assist with the preparation and updating of accounting policies, including but not limited to purchasing and records retention.

Coordinate the daily ordering/purchasing and office supplies.

Serve as liaison with the IT department.

Assist in the coordination of contracts and abide by procurement procedures.

Assist with other office administration duties as required.

Quarterly and semi-annual preparation of financial reports and provide budget analysis for grant expenses.

Assist in reviewing and preparing grant budgets.

Keep quarterly schedules of grant reports and other related award compliance procedures.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience.

Most Critical Proficiencies

Advanced knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping concepts.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and not-for-profit accounting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Ability to read and understand financial reports and budgets.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, and practical problem-solving skills.

Perform responsibilities with a strong ethical conduct.
