JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Must have satisfied education requirements from an accredited program and be currently licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Arkansas by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy (the Board). CPR certified.
Experience
Sound clinical skills and demonstrated good judgment. Working knowledge of physical, mental and social needs of the frail elderly population. Ability to problem-solve and plan effectively. Effective oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills.

Requires physical strength to perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to work required schedule. Hearing within normal range. Frequent sitting, stooping, standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling up to 250 pounds, and carrying up to 35 pounds, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
JOB SUMMARY
The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist Physical Therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures. May, in accordance with state laws, assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments in accordance with patient status and within the scope of treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will have frequent and regular supervision by or in consultation with a physical therapist whose license is in good standing. The PTA will meet and abide by rules and regulations set forth by the Board.
