Job Description

OK Foods, Inc. is seeking a

Refrigeration Supervisorfor our Plant 2 operations located in Fort Smith, AR.This Supervisor will be responsible for overseeingthe work performed by refrigeration operators. The Refrigeration Supervisor also looks for improvements inside the department and improvements of the equipment or facility to improve production performances.

Work Schedule (This position is bonus eligible and extra day pay eligible)

Days:Sunday-SaturdayHours:4am-2pmShift:1st

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Oversees the Preventive Maintenance Program and work orders related to the refrigeration department.

· Performs Process Safety Management (Ammonia Refrigeration).

· Oversees the boiler.

· Oversees the facility and the equipment inside and outside.

· Oversees projects.

· Oversees contractors.

· Upholds OSHA codes, IIAR codes, and any other governing body that pertains to the ammonia and/or boiler operations.

· Keeps all operators updated on safety procedures and training.

· Maintains log records on time sheets, green sheets, and scheduled days off records.

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises six employees in the Refrigeration Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must have Boiler Operator Licenses and have received training in Ammonia Refrigeration. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to qualify for the company's driver program.

Other Skills and Abilities:This position is on call at all times due to the ammonia and boiler that is in this department.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
