Purpose:
The purpose of the Material Manager is to ensure that the materials supplied for the project or construction activity meet the company, regulatory, and statutory requirements for installation and operations.
Primary duties:
Ability to monitor material controls (provides complete material tracking and documentations), and review completed material test reports (MTR).
Ensure company or contractor personnel adhere to procedures regarding material handling, as per the Company's MSP's.
Inspection of paperwork and checking of quantities, unloading and quarantining of inbound shipments for QA/QC inspection.
Interfaces as required with the SCG Supply Chain department
Support of procurement of Owner supplied material & equipment shorts not in the Contractor's scope of work
Manages onsite facilities as required with Logistics Coordinator
Works with Field Coordinators on logistics and material handling
Works with Home Office Procurement and Project Controls on material and equipment delivery
Expedites material and equipment as required
Works with QA/QC on ensuring all material and equipment delivered meets specifications and standards
Works with Project Controls and Accounting on payment of materials and equipment received
Manages TCCC of material and equipment to construction contractor
Ensure materials are handled in a safe and efficient manner - with regards to handling of pipe
Material Manager shall ensure that the Company or Contractor has conducted safety assessments prior to movements, and that pipe is handled correctly according to the agreed procedure
Inspector shall ensure that the Company and/or Contractor shall support the identified process for dispositioning QA/QC failures
Development of a Quality Deficiency y Repo rt (QDR) documenting the receipt of an y non-co forming
Equipment containing all pertinent information and a detailed description of the non-conformance.
