The minimum job requirements for the ADOT positions are:
Must possess a minimum of a Class B CDL (with Airbrake Endorsement) for Ready-Mix Drivers and current DOT physical card.
Driven Commercial Vehicle Minimum of 2 YEARS
No more than 2 moving violations within 2 years
Must have the physical endurance and ability to work safely in extreme weather and on uneven terrain; ability to use and learn to use tools and equipment to complete assigned work in a safe and productive manner.
Good Employment Record
Must be able to lift 50 100 lbs.
Able to climb ladders
Must be available to work 6-days per week, MAY need to work up to 10 12 hours per day
Training on company procedures will be provided. Upon completion of your training period, you must complete and pass a mandatory driving test with a certified trainer or manager. Failure to comply with any of the above will disqualify you for employment consideration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-MIXER
1. Operate ready-mix concrete truck to deliver ready-mix to construction and customer sites, as specified, in a safe and efficient manner, obeying applicable laws and following dispatch instructions. Maintain communication with Dispatcher as necessary regarding deliveries.
2. Observe, check, and assist in loading or unloading truck. Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete as required. Ensure proper materials are loaded in a safe manner and obtain proper signatures as required. Deliver ready-mix to job site as instructed. Rinse out drum and chutes, and dump slurry as required by established procedures.
4. Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle, investigate abnormalities ,and perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs.
5. Maintain operator logs, forms, and records in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations.
6. Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
7. Maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.
8. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
