The Marana Community Correctional Treatment Facility (MCCTF) is looking for leaders to help in the custody and rehabilitation of the offenders in our care. MCCTF is a minimum-custody private prison in Marana, under contract with the Arizona Department of Corrections to provide custody and substance abuse treatment for 500 adult male inmates who have demonstrated a need for substance or alcohol abuse treatment.
The Correctional Officer will serve as an important link in the chain that strives to reduce recidivism by promoting values and exhibiting respect towards the inmates in our care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
ï High school diploma or GED;
ï Must be at least 21 years old (state requirement);
ï MUST attend an academy if you have not left AZ DOC, ASP-Marana or another AZ State private prison within the last 2 years;
ï Must pass an extensive background investigation through AZ Dept. of Corrections and Dept. of Public Safety;
ï Must pass fitness testing, psychological screening, physical and drug screening;
ï Must have a valid AZ driver's license (at the time of testing) with acceptable driving record.
MCCTF provides a treatment program for inmates with chemical and substance abuse problems. Treatment at Marana is based on a counseling model that emphasizes personal responsibility for behavioral choices and consequences. Inmates attend group therapy and private counseling. They are also active in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Program components include: Adult Basic Education (ABE), Computer Literacy, Employability and Work Maturity Skills, English as a Second Language (ESL), General Education Development (GED), Reasoning and Rehabilitation, Substance Abuse Education and Counseling, Vocational Construction Modules, and Vocational Training.
