Local handmade jewelry maker seeks reliable, detail oriented person to assist in jewelry making. Please read the whole post before replying!
Hi, I'm Clare of Lila Clare Jewelry. I've been making delicate, elegant, nature inspired handmade jewelry for ten years. I make jewelry using the techniques of hand fabrication (soldering, hammering, etc) and assembly (connecting pieces together with wire and/or findings).
I'm looking for someone to assist me with assembling the jewelry. This includes:
- attachments with jump rings
- attachments with wire wrapping
- wire wrapping gemstones
- bead stringing
- other cold connections as necessary
This is an at-home contract worker position - so you will take supplies to your home and assemble the jewelry there. Payment is per piece assembled, and you will be required to use your own tools. We will meet once per week, or as necessary, at my home studio to drop off pieces, pick up new supplies, etc.
Required qualifications include:
- jewelry making experience
- wire wrapping experience
- experience using jewelry pliers
- secure location to store jewelry
- extreme attention to detail
I'm looking for someone who is reliable, detail oriented, motivated, flexible, and interested in a long term working relationship. Due to the nature of the work I will run a background check.
Please reply with a cover letter, resume, and photos of your work. If these items are not included I will not reply.
Look forward to hearing from you!
