The Full Charge Bookkeeper position Accountemps is currently filling and could be a good fit for you. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a short-term temporary opportunity in Tucson, Arizona. If you're comfortable with establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, you could be a good candidate for this position.Major responsibilitiesOverseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll
Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows
Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections
Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management
Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents

Payroll experience preferred
Minimum of three (3+) years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience desired
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets
Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
