Alcal Specialty Contracting, Inc. (Alcal) is a subsidiary of Pacific Coast Building Products, Inc. a family owned business since 1953. Alcal is a large specialty contractor, privately held and diversified that has operated continuously since 1971. It employs over 900 people and has branches in California, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii. Installed products include roofing, waterproofing, insulation, firestop and garage doors for both commercial and residential construction. The company is signatory to several unions including the Roofers and Carpenters Union.We currently accepting applications for a Commercial Insulation Estimator/Project Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Generating leads on a variety of current and future construction projects
Proactively meeting with new and potential customers
Leading and participating in a variety of sales events always a high level of customer service
Preparing bids and submitting proposals for projects
Schedule preparation and revisions including coordination with other trades
Reviewing and projecting job costs/costs to complete monthly with Management
Field measurements and job checks
Utilizing current staff to coordinate workers, material and equipment
Ensuring that specifications are being followed and that work is proceeding on schedule and within budget
Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected
Other duties as assigned.There is also potential for this position to evolve into a management position.
Qualified applicants will have:
A minimum of two years sales/estimator experience in insulation and a successful construction sales record.
Ability to read, interpret and accurately take-off constructions drawings.
Must be able to operate computer and standard software applications. Also must be able to learn and utilize specialized software applications.
Up to 20% travel to job sites or locations
Must possess excellent skills in math, writing, public relations, communications and negotiations.
Regular attendance is required.
